About
Chloe Pinheiro is a British Wiltshire based artist, who works with free-flowing movement, to create textured and colourful acrylic pieces inspired by nature. Using a unique and multi-layered technique, Chloe adds texture and depth to her paintings giving them organic vivacity. A large part of her work is focused on natural water sources, in particular the geological surroundings and weather patterns that impact the flow of water. By capturing areas of light and shade refracted through the water's surface, Chloe draws the viewer into the uncompromising energy, elegant forms and unyielding motion of nature's tidal strength.
Chloe’s work is hugely inspired by her teenage years growing up next to the ferocious Atlantic Ocean on Portugal’s Southern coast and later when she lived along the Lisbon Coastline. In more recent years Chloe has been captivated by rugged and beautiful seascapes of the South-West of England. The intuitive movement of creating each piece brings Chloe back to the inner tranquillity of the waves crashing on the shore. Working in the flow of each movement, starting from the initial source of power, Chloe uses brushes and palette knives to create the energy and texture. Each piece is entirely stand alone in process, with layers built up and drawn away to capture the motion best.
Chloe has had a busy few years exhibiting work as part of Opens, Live Painting as part of UPFEST 2024 and selling work in galleries, art trails and arts venues, with a particular highlight of selling work at The Brick Lane Gallery, London and at The Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre.
